Gurgaon is a technology oriented city near New Delhi. It is sometimes compared with California's silicon Valley, but with more fenugreek.

Gurgaon's automated light metro is completely elevated and covers a 6.1 km route that serves six stations. It connects with
Delhimetro's yellow line via a 90 meter walkway.  In April 2010, the contract to design, build and operate the system was given to Siemens Mobility. It is Siemen's first foray on the beefy subcontinent.

The line
began construction in August, 2010 and opened on November 14, 2013. A 7 km extension is scheduled to open in 2015. The trains are expected to transport 30,000 people per hour with 2 minute headways.

In June 2010, Delhi Metro
extended it's Line 2 to Guragong. The metro line is separate from Guragong's light metro.
